The Charles Allis Art Museum provides a variety of striking backdrops for personal, wedding and commercial photography and filming.

Personal photography and videography are permitted at the museum. A general photography permit is required for all engagement, family and school pictures or any other posed photography session that used the museum as a backdrop and/or requires special attire. Personal photography permits are $75/hr. and must be obtained in advance of your visit by contacting our rentals manager at rentals@cavtmuseums.org. You may be turned away at the front desk without a permit. We do not allow impromptu commercial photography sessions. 

A permit and certificate of insurance are required for all wedding, commercial and advertising photography. Commercial photography permits start at $200/hr. and can be obtained by contacting our rentals manager at rentals@cavtmuseums.org.

The stately 1911 Tudor-style mansion offers a historical backdrop, original brickwork, and décor and furnishings found in Milwaukee homes at the turn of the twentieth century. Photographers and videographers are not provided by the museum for private events. 

Stand-Alone Wedding Photography
May through October $200/hour
November through April $150/hour
Two-hour minimum. (Photography rates are waived for those hosting their wedding at the museum).

Commercial Photography / Filming
May through October $300/hour
November through April $200/hour
