The Charles Allis Art Museum provides a variety of striking backdrops for personal, wedding and commercial photography and filming.

Personal photography and videography are permitted at the Charles Allis Art Museum. A general photography permit is required for all wedding, engagement, family and school pictures or any other posed photography session that used the museum as a backdrop and/or requires special attire.

Personal photography permits start at $100/hr. and must be obtained in advance of your visit via this formYou must request your permit a minimum of 5 business days in advance. Permits requested with less notice may not be processed.

Permits must be paid for in advance of your appointment. You will receive an invoice once approved. Please play promptly or your appointment will be canceled. 

We do not allow impromptu or day-of photography appointments. You will be turned away without a permit and appointment.

A permit and certificate of insurance are required for all commercial and advertising photography. Commercial photography permits start at $300/hr. and can be obtained via the same form found here.

The stately 1911 Tudor-style mansion offers a historical backdrop, original brickwork, and décor and furnishings found in Milwaukee homes at the turn of the twentieth century. Photographers and videographers are not provided by the museum for private events. 

Stand-Alone Wedding Photography
$200/hr
Two-hour minimum.

Commercial Photography / Filming
$400/hr
Three-hour minimum.
