"Not Pictured" is a collection of exercises and experimental approaches to composing camera-less photographs. Comprised of lumen prints, chemigrams, and durational sculptures, "Not Pictured," considers photography’s material history and offers a reflection of photography’s sense of representation.
"Not Pictured" is on view Oct. 5, 2023 through April 21, 2024.
About Michael Lagerman
Milwaukee-based artist Michael Lagerman uses photography to mesh queer emotional philosophical prose with the materials and methods of the image. Lagerman has a master's of fine art from UW-Milwaukee. He has shown work in exhibitions and screenings across North America, and his work is included in books in the MOMA and Yale libraries.
