You Had Me @ Miniatures
January 27, 2026 | 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Ever wanted to sculpt a tiny lamp for a dollhouse or create a picnic set fit for a hamster?
Join us for a playful, hands-on evening of miniatures led by exhibiting artist Leah Schlageter, whose work is currently on view in Bated Breath: Neglected Possessions.
During this intimate workshop, Leah will share insight into her artistic practice and guide participants through the process of crafting their own miniature scene. Using materials such as polymer clay, fabric, paper, found objects, and plenty of glue, you’ll experiment, build, and create something small—but full of personality.
No prior experience required. Come curious, leave with a finished miniature and a renewed appreciation for the beauty of tiny details.
Materials provided. All are welcome.
About the Artist: Leah Schlageter
Working across photography, painting, and miniatures, Leah Schlageter explores what she calls the “perfect malfunction”—the moment when disruption sparks meaning. Her work examines cycles of decay, renewal, and emotional complexity, often elevating overlooked or fragile objects into powerful visual narratives.
Leah is a featured artist in Bated Breath: Neglected Possessions, currently on view at the Charles Allis Art Museum.
