Board of Directors

We are currently seeking community leaders, creatives, and professionals to serve on our Board of Directors.  These roles support the museum’s mission through strategic guidance, expertise, and community connection. We are especially seeking individuals with experience in Legal, HR/ Personnel, Historic Preservation, Marketing, Fundraising & Development, Grant Writing. However, all candidates who are aligned with our mission and demonstrate a commitment to collaboration and accountability will be considered

Board Members will:

  • Serve two-year terms
  • Attend monthly meetings and committee check-ins
  • Support the museum through time, talent, and/or treasure
  • Help guide long-term vision and sustainability

Advisory Committee Members:

  • Offer expertise without the full commitment of a board seat
  • Support specific focus areas through short-term or project-based service
  • Ideal for professionals looking to contribute in a flexible way
  • Current focus areas include: Fundraising & Development, Governance & Board Recruitment , Finance & Business Planning , Marketing & Community Engagement, Programming & Exhibitions, and Facilities, Operations & Collections

Volunteer Opportunities

We’re also seeking volunteers to support daily museum operations and enhance the visitor experience.

Welcome Desk Volunteers

  • Greet visitors and answer questions
  • Share information about exhibitions and events
  • Assist with light administrative tasks

Event Floaters

  • Circulate through exhibit spaces
  • Assist guests and support a welcoming environment
  • Training and support are provided—no prior experience required.
