The Charles Allis Art Museum invites local artists to submit works for a rotating community exhibition series that highlights emerging and established talent from across Milwaukee and beyond.

This upcoming installation, Human Condition: A Study of the Body, dives into the complexity of the human form and our ever-evolving relationship with it. Artists are encouraged to explore how the body holds and reflects lived experiences—from resilience and vulnerability to memory and transformation. By giving shape to emotion and presence through figurative work, this exhibition honors the diversity and nuance of being human.

This is an open call for artists working in all 2D mediums. Selected works will be displayed in the museum’s historic gallery hallway, offering an intimate and reflective viewing experience. Submission Deadline: Friday, August 14, 2025
