The House & Collection

• Wander wood-paneled rooms, stained glass, marble fireplaces, and period furnishings while viewing 19th–early 20th-century paintings and decorative arts—all reflecting Charles and Sarah Allis’s passion for art and design.

Current Exhibitions

• Strike at Allis Chalmers and Other Wisconsin Stories | By John Fleissner
  This exhibition explores the struggle of the Allis-Chalmers workers in their heroic strike for union security and higher wages at the West Allis plant first in 1941 and again in 1946. On view through October 24, 2026. 
   
• Tattoo Art of the 21st Century
  This Exhibition aims to highlight current working artists of various tattoo shops in the Milwaukee area. On view in the Great Hall through August 6 - September 20, 2026.
