During Public Hours, front desk volunteers direct museum visitors to galleries, answer questions, answer phones, promote upcoming programs and events and assist guests in becoming museum members.

Special Event Volunteers
Events include Exhibit Openings, Allis After Hours, Tea at the Terrace, Midnight in the Garden Halloween Party, Holiday Open House, Art in the Garden, Café Sopra Mare on Sunday mornings at the Villa, as well as panel discussions and lecture series held throughout the year at both museums.

Gardening
For the Villa’s Renaissance Garden, FOVT (Friends of Villa Terrace) schedule regular garden work days and are happy to have volunteers help our staff gardener weed, water, trim and clean the garden.
Without having a regular garden work day schedule, the Allis always welcomes those wishing to put in time transplating flowers, weeding and watering.
|
Tram Operators
Volunteer tram operators help visitors to the Villa’s Renaissance Garden travel by tram between the upper and lower garden during museum Public Hours (1 – 5 Wed. – Sun.) and also during Special Events and weddings. (times vary)
|
Movie Time
This is a great chance to join classic film buffs who gather at the Allis twice a month for a vintage film screening hosted by film historian Dale Kuntz.
|
Office Help
Tasks vary and may include filing, updating mailing lists, creating spreadsheets, answering phones, general office assistance. Experience using a computer and Microsoft Office is required for office volunteers.
|
Other Assistance
Feel free to offer your ideas of additional ways of contributing as a volunteer.
